Mike Hailwood's 250 Mondial Book

Mike Hailwood's 250 Mondial.

Written by Peter Murray and Nigel Dearden, this 40 page softback book (with a limited print run of 250 copies) relates the history of the ex-works 250 cc Mondial 1957 bikes raced by Hailwood early in his career, one of which resides in Murray’s Museum in Santon. An introductory section covers Mondial’s racers of the 1950s, touching on the successful TT and world title campaigns of 1957. The narrative then reveals, for the first time, the full history of the bikes concerned, not only during the Hailwood years but also thereafter, during the period of Reg Dearden’s ownership.  Riders of the bikes during the 1960s who have contributed to the tale include Len Ireland, Brian Ball and David Williams. The Foreword is by Cecil Sandford. There are 40 black and white illustrations and 4 colour photographs.
