Gilera Mv Agusta Motorcycle rivalry

The Gilera - MV Agusta Rivalry: 1950 to 1966, by Raymond Ainscoe and Gianni Perrone

Published in 2010, this book has 88 pages and contains approximately 120 black and white photographs. It is a largely photographic history of the duels between the established premier marque, Gilera, and its ambitious challenger, MV, which poached designers and engineers (Remor and Magni) as well as riders (Artesiani, Bandirola, Masetti etc) from is neighbour and rival. Of course, the mighty "quattro cilindri" solo racers (Duke, Graham, Minter, Caldarella, Hailwood etc) are illustrated, and the book covers the smaller capacity and sidecar racers produced by the two factories (Ubbiali, Ferri, Provini, Taveri, Camathias etc). The Foreword was written by Alfredo Milani.
